About Our Founder
Sister Dana Marie is a Christian Missionary, a teacher, and a committed business owner. In 2002 she accepted her call to community nursing and local missions and established her first ministry. The name of the company was, The National Christian Healthcare Network. By 2005 Sister Dana Marie had opened four transitional homes to provide short term housing for people who were going through difficult times. In addition, she started three community-based programs, wrote the theme songs for each program, established a record company to protect the music and wrote a short, How To Guide to show others how to start a community program.
Her next step was marketing. With little experience in the area of marketing she designed her own marketing campaign. She presented her products at trade shows, festivals and in newspaper ads. But that was not enough, curious about how to include radio time in her marketing campaign, Sister Dana Marie bought airtime on a local radio station in Atlanta, Georgia and started her own radio program.
It seemed like she was well on her way to success but three years later, the Real Estate Market took a sharp turn in the wrong direction. New sky rocketing mortgages and unexpected financial hardships forced her to fold. As the houses went into foreclosure Sister Dana Marie maintained her never give up attitude, she counted her losses, accepted her lessons, and began to plan a come back.
During that time, she kept in her mind the many lessons that she learned during her youth as she watched her father conduct business. In her childhood she recalls watching her father obtain credit from local stores based on a promise to pay. As she recalls those early years of seeing her father conduct business with no money, she states she quickly learned, it is not how much money a person has, what is most important is the character of the person who makes the promise.
Additional lessons she learned from her father was that no one owes you anything, if you want to get something out of life, you will have to work for it, and where there is a will, there is always a way. With these lessons in mind, she worked out a plan. She used her downtime to re-establish her credit, study, attend business classes and organize. With much time and thought she was able to get back on track with the same determination, drive, and commitment she had when she started. Sister Dana Marie is poised and determined to succeed in every venture she pursues. Her personal goal is to help others to live a happier life. The marketplace is her ministry and with every business, she works to help Heal the Land.
“I’m not a rich person, as a matter of fact I am poor by most peoples standards, but I take what I have and make sacrifices so that others can live a happier life.”
